This grant funded the development of the Dougy Center’s additional location called Dougy Center West.
Dougy Center West will:
- Double the number of children and families receiving bereavement services in Portland (they anticipate serving 5,000 people/year within five years of opening Dougy Center West); and
- Serve as the national training center and recording studio to create training materials on bereavement and grief support, including the Dougy Center’s weekly podcast “Grief Out Loud” which reaches thousands of listeners every week.
