Mental Health Awareness of Michiana (MHAM) was founded in 2018 by local mental health clinicians Lisa Kelly, LCSW, MPH, and Heather Holleman, PhD, HSPP. MHAM promotes the understanding that good mental health is crucial to overall wellness, and seeks to eliminate stigma and barriers preventing access to mental health care. The organization’s key programs include community outreach, mental health education initiatives, access to care initiatives, mental health workforce development, and specialized perinatal mental health support services. MHAM is committed to community collaboration, meaningful training opportunities, and increasing access to services for underserved populations.
