Cultivating Life Clinic is a non-profit, charitable clinic birthed from the ministry from which it draws its name. With special emphasis on mental health services, the purpose of the clinic is to help create parity in delivery and access to health care for underserved populations and to reduce stigma associated with seeking help. The mission of Cultivating Life Clinic is to promote holistic wellness, particularly in the African-American community, through efforts that support emotional, physical and spiritual health. Cultivating Life Clinic aims to achieve its goals in two primary ways–by providing community-based services and by advancing a collaborative approach to care. The collaborative care approach will not only incorporate faith leaders who are trained to recognize signs of a mental health crisis and to provide initial support, but will also explore ways to integrate mental health services within primary care settings and other referring and/or partnering community organizations.
