The goal of this grant was to create a county-wide early childhood mental health/social emotional learning training.
This grant funded:
- Conscious Discipline: An evidence-based trauma-informed social emotional learning program meant to enhance self-regulation, resilience, and positive behavior supports in both English and Spanish for early educators, program leadership, parents, and “endorsed facilitators” (or future trainers in Conscious Discipline);
- Healthy Mindset: Self-care strategies for early education providers taught by a licensed nurse practitioner; and
- Social Emotion Learning/Mental Health Reflective Implementation: Educators and program leaders learn and integrate new evidence-based care and classroom strategies and approaches.
