Founded in 1982 in Portland, Dougy Center started the first peer grief support groups for children and has been providing accessible and inclusive trauma- and grief- informed support ever since. Dougy Center’s programs support over 2,700 children, teens, young adults, and adult caregivers in the Portland Metro area each year. Dougy Center trains over 10,000 people each year and there are over 500 Dougy-trained programs worldwide.
