The YWCA North Central Indiana (YWCANCIN) is a vital community organization that has been serving the region for over 120 years, focusing on eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting social justice.
Founded in 1903, the YWCA has a long history of advocacy, support services, and programs designed to address the unique needs of women and families in the area.
One of the YWCA’s most critical programs is its support for survivors of domestic violence. The organization provides shelter, legal advocacy, as well as emotional support and counseling for adults and children.
In addition, YWCANCIN provides sexual abuse counseling, substance use treatment, equity & economic empowerment education, and violence prevention programming in area schools. YWCANCIN also serves as a voice for all women, advocating on critical issues, including but not limited to access to healthcare and equal pay.
