Elevate Indianapolis, an education nonprofit focused on teaching and mentoring at-promise youth, draws out and builds on their inherent strengths and abilities by investing early, consistently, and long term in their lives with its holistic approach. Within the context of trusting relationships, teacher-mentors encourage, guide, and advocate for students 24/7/365 as they navigate challenges and explore possibilities. By integrating key character qualities and life skills taught and modeled by teacher-mentors via state-accredited in-school classes, life-on-life mentoring, post-secondary preparation, sports and adventure experiences, and family engagement, students gain the knowledge and skills to thrive and contribute to their communities now and in the future.
