Shepherd has helped families on Indianapolis’ Near Eastside since 1985. Shepherd has been implementing a two-generational approach to service delivery for more than a decade. From its central location within the community it serves, Shepherd offers comprehensive services through its Continuum of Care, a full set of programs that allow it to be continuously engaged in the lives of neighborhood children, teens and their parents, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty. Shepherd’s focus is on serving families, providing Biblically-based instruction in all aspects of life, and meeting physical, emotional, academic and spiritual needs from birth to adulthood. Shepherd serves more than 500 families (2,500+ individuals) annually through its programs. This includes approximately 400 children and youth in grades K3 through 12th.
